Hi guys it's Mrs. Pfefferlen here happy last day of school. Can you believe it today is actually the last day of the 2020-21 school year I'm sure that everyone is ready to enjoy their much deserved summer break but for me the last day of school is always bittersweet even with the lure of long hot days ahead and all the wonderful treasures that summertime brings it's sad to say goodbye to our teachers and our friends and it seems especially hard this year for some of us it feels like we just got back together the pandemic has had us navigating through so much uncertainty in a constant state of change but I've been blown away by the determination and the resiliency demonstrated by our students our parents and our staff. Last night we had an amazing graduation ceremony here on campus for the first time ever congratulations to our 8th grade class of 2021 we hope that our families and friends enjoyed the presentation both in person or virtually as we celebrated our new High School freshman. We wish all of our graduates nothing but the best in the next chapters another sad part of this last day of school for me is saying goodbye to some of our CSMH staff members who have been an integral part of our culture, Mrs. Crispin, Ms. Chagnon and Mrs. Lima will be moving on to new schools and new adventures next year.  Mrs. Sanders-Curry our school counselor and Mrs. Roensch our CFO are both retiring. We wish all of our departing staff nothing but the best and we thank them for their service to CSMH and we want them each to know that they will be dearly missed I wanted to make a few acknowledgements today before I sign off to Mr. Oscar and Mr. Sutton I want to say thank you for everything that you did to prepare our campus over and over for every change that we underwent this year you keep CSMH safe and looking amazing and for this we are so grateful. To our parents and grandparents and other family members that jumped in to help this past year thank you for teaming with us in the teaching of your children thank you for supporting us every step of the way and for giving us encouragement when we need it to our staff thank you for being willing to pivot at so many different points of the year thank you for giving your all and even then some. To our teachers you are absolute rockstars and I thank you for everything that you did for your students each and every day your students will never forget this year and you have been nothing short of remarkable. To our front office staff, I can't even begin to thank you for all of the many different hats that you wore this year for keeping us organized for keeping us safe and for keeping us going day after day after day. To our students, you will always remember this year and what you went through and you did awesome you lived you laughed learned all the way through you showed perseverance you showed flexibility you showed resiliency and we are so proud of you what will next year look like we're not exactly sure yet we're hoping that things will be more back to normal but it's still a little bit too soon to tell what we do know is whatever next year looks like we will stand together CSMH strong I wanted to give a quick shout-out to the cornhole tournament winners we had Mrs. Lehrfeld's class, Ms. Jordan's class, Zion and 8.2.  I also want to thank all who participated we loved seeing you out there cheering on your teammates with encouraging words and signs and it was just so much fun all the way around so way to go Cheetahs. We have a birthday to announce today Happy birthday to Zoe in 8th grade we wish you a great day and a wonderful year ahead and with that CSMH I'm going to leave you I wish you all an enjoyable and safe summer take care and I will see you again next year
