Hi guys it's Mrs. Pfefferlen here, happy Tuesday I hope that you all enjoyed a nice long weekend and spent some time yesterday on Memorial Day honoring those who have lost their lives serving our wonderful country we are so proud of our cheetahs who continued to perform so many wonderful acts of kindness for our community Nayeli helped make sure that the two little fledglings that were found on campus were safe some volunteers from the WERC came by and picked them up last week we had Jaiveer who took time to type out a note to each of his classmates and his teacher to let them know how much he appreciates them we had Ava and Ryan who showed kindness to their classmates by making each of them a paper airplane way to go cheetahs both the Pinnacles and the Fire cohorts will celebrate this week with an Otter Pop party thanks to the kind acts performed by Nayeli and Rhea and we also want to congratulate Mrs. Miller's 1st grade class for being the 10th caller with last week's secret word "recharge" they celebrated last Friday there's still an opportunity for you to help your class win a popsicle party this year be sure to ask your parents to complete the school supply donation form by June 3rd and your class will receive a popsicle party and your teacher will receive an extra $100 in his or her school supply budget with these contributions CSMH will be able to get bulk pricing on school supplies needed to start our 2021 22 school year off to a great start I hope that you've all been practicing tomorrow is the first match of the cornhole tournament each class or cohort should have picked one member to represent their Class or cohort and we hope that the rest of the class will come out to support with cheering and signs and all that good stuff please see the schedule in today's morning announcement for more details this year has definitely been a challenge but there were so many Silver Linings to be found be sure to check out the CSMH Foundation's 2019-20 annual report to read about how our community came together and how the generous contributions in donations allowed the CSMH Foundation to continue to support the mission of developing lifelong learners a link to the annual report can be found in today's morning announcement email as you see by my Virtual Office it is officially the last week of school one week and one day from today and we have so much going on we have our cornhole tournament our school supplies drive we are also getting ready to congratulate our amazing 8th graders on their upcoming graduation and I just want you to take this last week and think about the incredible year that we've had and let's all finish strong keep following those recess protocols you're doing a great job please remember that you need to stay with your cohorts and please do not intermingle and when you're eating please maintain a distance of 3 feet as you have your masks off at that time we have a couple birthday announcements today we have Alice in kindergarten and we have James and Olivia in 3rd grade and also Eric in 6th grade we wish you all a very happy birthday and a wonderful year ahead with that I leave you good luck in the tournament this week and take care I will see you again soon
