Hi guys it's Mrs. Pfefferlen here, happy Monday I hope that you've all enjoyed a great weekend we sure had a fun time celebrating one of our staff members this weekend I don't know if all of you know this but Ms. Brewer is getting married in June and we celebrated her upcoming wedding. I would like to start with my favorite topic and that is kindness and I would like to give a little hats off to all of the students who helped keep kindness at the forefront this week and posted acts of kindness for our community on our padlet many of you picked up trash and did other little jobs around the campus to keep it looking nice and I am so appreciative of your efforts as you know we put all of the tickets in a big bin and did a little raffle last week and Toby McDonald won a popsicle party for his class Mrs. Daprile's class enjoyed that last Friday Also congratulations to the quick dialers in the Yellowstone cohort who were with Ms. Stephanie when they called in and gave the word of the week community this week you're going to have another two chances to win a popsicle party this week it will be an Otter Pop party for your class you can call in with the word of the week or you can continue to post your acts of kindness on the padlet and be entered into the drawing the word of the week this week is recharge we have all been working so hard and we just have a little bit left to go and I want us to finish the year strong so take a little bit of time this week to recharge and look ahead and let's put that forth our best effort just have the best end of the year possible it's that time of year as you can tell by my Virtual Office we are starting the school supply drive we are preparing for a great 2021/2022 school year and we need all of the tools possible to make that happen so with contributions to the School Supply Drive CSMH will be able to get bulk pricing and have all of those school supplies delivered to classrooms before you even arrive next year all classes who return 100% of their forms will receive a popsicle party from their teacher and also those teachers will get an extra amount $100 to be exact in their school supply budget for next year so be sure and get those forms in the forms are on ParentSquare and they need to be returned before June 3rd just a little over one week before the first match of our cornhole tournament it will begin on June 2nd remember each class or cohort that wants to participate needs to choose one member to represent their class or cohort for the tournament very important our State of the School meeting is happening this Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at least one person from each family is expected to attend and we will be sending out an email with the link very soon please continue to follow the safety protocols at your recess times continue to stay in your cohorts and do not intermingle with other cohorts and please remember to remain a distance of 3 feet away when you're eating and have your mask off we have some birthday announcements today we have George in 1st grade and Peter, Audrey and Evie in 2nd grade tomorrow we have Kourtney in 4th grade and Ashlyn in 8th grade we wish you a very happy birthday and a wonderful year ahead the last opportunity for on-site covid testing is this Wednesday May 26th please sign up to help keep our community safe with that I leave you all I wish you a wonderful week of learning and I will see you again soon take care
