My name's Maddie and I'm in 5th grade.  I'll be doing your morning announcements for today. Here's some summer jokes. Why did the teacher jump to the pool? Why? She wants to test the water. What animal is at every baseball game? What?  A bat. In 5th grade, we are working on fictional narratives. We get to use our imaginations to create characters in a fun and exciting plot.  It is super fun.  Now for the school announcements if you would like to share something about your culture or a special holiday tradition you celebrate we would love to hear about it. You are encouraged to share video or text message about your family's culture and traditions. There will be a State of the School meeting this coming Tuesday May 25th at 6:30 on Zoom.  Be sure to put it on your calendar and see the Friday folder for more details. The last opportunity for on-site covid testing is Wednesday May 26th please sign up to keep our community safe it is convenient, painless and no cost to you Get ready, the match of our cornhole tournament is scheduled for Wednesday June 2nd during lunch recess if your class wants to practice ask your teacher to check out a cornhole board from the office also think of ways that you can support your classmate at the tournament by making signs or coming up with cheers. Please remember to follow the campus rules when moving to your assigned area please stay with your own cohort students should not inter mingle with each other's cohorts when eating it is very important to remain a minimum of three feet away from others since you will not have your mask on after eating wipe down the table surface before heading off to your assigned area now for the birthday announcements Happy birthday to Kaedence in Kinder, Paola and Brooke in 2nd grade Ashley and Alexa in 5th grade Vander in 7th grade. On Saturday, happy birthday to Reyna in 2nd grade, James and Justin in 7th grade and on Sunday happy birthday to Spencer in 5th grade and Ms. Roberts Happy Birthday Help our Community stop the spread of Covid by wearing a mask and making sure it covers your mouth and nose have a great weekend bye
