Hi guys it's Mrs. Pfefferlen here happy Monday I'm coming to you with our Monday morning announcements I hope you all have enjoyed a nice weekend we didn't have quite enough volunteers to continue our morning announcements every day of the week so going forward our morning announcements will take place on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays if Monday is a holiday then my message will be brought to you on a Tuesday it's not too late to sign up so if you are still interested in taking on a challenge of doing a morning announcement please reach out and contact Mrs. Gill I hope you are enjoying reading about Red as much as I am in our Wishtree school-wide read aloud and it's so interesting to learn about the history of wishtrees and how this custom goes back for hundreds of years and I love the fact that we are creating our own Wishtree here at Charter School of Morgan Hill out on the California sycamore tree out right in front of school so if you have not done so yet we ask that you please help us adorn our wishtree with your wishes and you want you to write your wish on this nice long strip of fabric there are a bunch of supplies right outside the gate once you write your wish you can put it in the bin and we will attach it to the tree for you this week we need you to continue reading and we're going to go through chapter 38 chapters 26 - 38 this week students in kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to play 5 Second Rule this week and that will take place after school from 1:45 to 2:30 so second and third graders are invited on Monday Kinder and first grade on Wednesday and 4th 5th and 6th graders are invited to join on Thursday please see the flyer attached to this message for more information would you rather the question of the week would you rather live in a treehouse or a cave you can tell by my Virtual office what my choice was it was not a hard choice for me I think caves are really cool to explore but I would much rather live in a treehouse I'm anxious to see what you will choose please make sure you cast your preference by Wednesday and results will be announced on Friday this week there are some birthdays to celebrate today we have Kirah in 6th grade we have Breanna and Ella in 8th grade and we have Mrs Sanders Curry happy birthday to each of you we wish you a great day and a wonderful year ahead last but not least I need to give a little safety reminder to help stop the spread of covid we've received some information from Santa Clara County this week and they were talking about the 4 W's and following the 4 W's so I wanted to share the 4 W's with you today 1 wear a mask 2 wash your hands frequently 3 watch your distance stay 6 feet away from others and 4 wait to gather so those are the four W's I hope you all have a great week of learning and I look forward to seeing you again soon take care
