hi guys it's Mrs. Pfefferlen here happy Thursday we made it through the week and we are finally to our holiday break one more day to go I want to thank all of you who have participated in our holiday spirit week we loved seeing your creativity and it was so much fun seeing your pictures on our padlet each day this week I have the results of the would you rather question 53% of you choose as I did and that was to make snow angels and 47% preferred to sit by a nice toasty fire either way there were no bad choice but those were our results I also have the results of our Gingerbread House contest congratulations to Austin and Brooklyn Allen Gavin and Owen Beckman Lizzie Call Anahita Chakrabarty Jameson Howard Madison Sheehan and we have a mystery Hailey we don't have a last name but Hailey if it's you please reach out and contact Mrs Gill it was the gingerbread house with the Three Little Pigs so I want to wish you all our whole community a restful break enjoy some family time over the next two weeks we look forward to seeing you all in the new year and now I would like to leave you with some birthday wishes from our staff as well as a very special message happy birthday Isabella in 7th grade we also want to wish a happy birthday to those students who are celebrating a birthday over the winter break on December 18th  Madison in 2nd grade on December 19th Avonlea in 2nd grade Hailey in 8th grade and Ms Vivianne on December 20th Ethan in 4th grade and Mason in 6th happy birthday to Muhammad who will be celebrating his birthday on December 21st happy birthday to Audrey and Parker in the 7th grade who were both born on December 22nd on December 23rd happy birthday to Vincent in 5th grade Audrey in 7th grade and David in 8th grade on December 24th John Michael in 5th and Rhea in 6th happy birthday to Amelia in 2nd grade and Jaelin in 4th grade grade celebrating on December 27th happy birthday girls on December 28th Santino in 6th grade and Jeannie in 8th and celebrating on New Year's Eve Azeneth in kindergarten happy birthday to  our new year's babies Elizabeth in my kindergarten class and some of my former kindergarteners students who are now in 6th grade Nolan and Leo and Boston in 7th grade celebrating on January 2nd Hailey in 1st and Michael in 8th grade we wish you all a wonderful birthday followed by years of happiness Twas the night before holiday break and all through the school not a student was stirring we follow the rules the barriers and sunshades were hung with care in hopes that covid would not come near the students were nestled all snug by their desks while in their heads danced fun filled projects and Mrs. C and Principal Pfefferlen in their spirit wear had just settled down with their blankets to share when out on the field there arose such a clatter they sprang up and asked Ms. Nancy what was the matter away to the field they flew like a flash it was just Mr. Chagnon running a dash the moon on the breast of the new-fallen dew gave the lustre of midday to bottles of glue when what to their wondering eyes should appear but a guiding light that would persevere they knew in a moment it must be HOPE something we all need to help us cope more needed than candy or toys all the same it rushed in and shouted we must stay sane now students now goats now staff and teachers on parents on pigs on readers and leaders to the top of the ramp to the top of the class now dash in dash in dash to the grass as dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly when they meet with an obstacle mount to the sky so up to the treetops the swainson hawks flew with the hope that we knew we had to pursue and then in a twinkling they heard on the roof our community is amazing and here's the proof the glistening and sparkle of each little dream how time after time we came together as a team with hope given like a connecting rope we know that together we can all cope to our students staff and parents both distant and near you're part of our family that we hold most dear as we take a break we will be out of sight we wish happy holidays to all and to all a goodnight
