good morning she doesn't happy Tuesday this is Mrs Gale from the office and I miss seeing all your smiling faces on campus this has been quite a transition I know for some Batman Smells While others still might be struggling no matter where you are it's okay that you are not alone we are a community and we're here to support one another so please let us know how we can help if you are one of those who have this whole process Dowden and please look around and see if you may have a classmate or a friend who is struggling and reach out to them to help now I know without having extracurricular activities and commute I found myself with a lot more time on my hands and I've been taking the time to cook and try out some new recipes time I go to the store I am so grateful to the grocery store workers who are there to make sure that our community has food I've also been cleaning a lot lately and for that reason I am extra grateful to the all IT workers who come every week to pick up our trash so with that being said our sun dies our project for today is to take the time to stop and to say thank you to those people who are helping our community during this time my kids and I made some cards we made them for the fire department the grocery store workers and healthcare workers I'm sure that you have a list of people that you feel extra grateful for right now and I hope that you will use this extra time to say thank you to them with a card or a picture you can mail it to them email them or do you want post now this week we will be having the plants sale on Thursday and Friday are fifth grade students worked very hard this year to cultivate the seeds and thanks to mrs. funks dedication the plants I will still go on in order to purchase Plants you must do a pre-order and then plants will be available for pickup starting on Thursday through Friday at the curbside also yesterday Mrs T put out a challenge to all of us to make the cheetah reach the Thousand Mile Mark by next Monday he's already travelled over for 576 miles but we still have 424 miles left to go I know some of you have had to jump on your bikes and scooters and rollerblades to help keep up with him and that's okay just be sure to log those Smiles in at the beginning of the month when we were on campus we started with 16 different picture books we are now down to the final two going head-to-head we have the giving tree and Goodnight Moon be sure to put your can we return from school after the spring break on April 14th will be having some fun with a virtual Spirit Week on Tuesday it will be take a picture with your pet or stay animal on Wednesday we will be having crazy sock day no normally I would wear something fun like these socks but since I have some extra time on my hands I thought I would take the time to decorate my I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with 2 on Thursday is Throwback Thursday please send me one of your favorite pictures from the year 2019 and on Friday will be having fun happy hair day I will be making an online album so that all in our community could see each other's faces and share in our school spirit if you would like to be included in the album please be sure to email me your picture of you showing off your school spirit now I know the best ideas always come when we work together so if you have any ideas on how we could stay connected and have fun during this time please email me and my also starting tomorrow our students will be giving our morning announcements please stay tuned and look in your email for a link to see your fellow classmates and hear from them please stay healthy and stay well I look forward to seeing you when we return to campus bye-bye
