Mrs. Cisewski kicks off our Morning Announcements with an address to our community on March 30, 2020.

Good morning Charter School cheetahs today is Monday March 30th and Mrs Gill had another one of her Amazing Ideas of ways that we can keep our Community Connected and so she came up with the idea of doing morning announcements and I can't think of a better place to kick it off then right here at  CSMH I'm standing in front of the office and picturing all of you out there on the playground looking at me  in your lines and with your teachers I think it's important we continue with our normal rituals and so we're going to start out this morning with the Pledge of Allegiance so I need you to put your hand over your heart stand up take off your hat and hoods I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all Excellent job Our first annoucement is about our cheetah be sure you keep logging your miles every day to help him move across America the link can be found in the student section of our website after the first week he covered 425 miles with stops in Bakersfield to visit the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History and Science and the Mojave National Preserve in Barstow on Thursday he made it to the hoover dam and is now only 48 miles away from the Grand Canyon in Arizona It's suppose to be very beautiful this week and sunny and no rain in the forecast so we'll have lots of opportunities to run and walk this week and to add more miles for a cheetah I want to challenge you by this time next week I'm hoping that our cheetah will have hit the thousand mile mark we're down to our final two books for our picture book March Madness the two books are Goodnight Moon and The Giving Tree both are amazing books it's going to be a tough decision make sure you vote by this Thursday and a winner will be announced on Friday Also this week is our 11th annual plant sale it will be on Thursday and Friday April 2nd and 3rd Ms Nancy has sent out a plant catalog to everybody but you have to pre-order so be sure to go in and fill out the pre-order form Mrs Funke will be getting the plants together and they will be delivered right here out on our curb so please pre-order your plants and get those turned in we are starting our third week or virtual learning I know this is not what anyone signed up for but I'm so proud of our staff, our parents and our students.  Our teachers jumped right in and they learned new technology and found creative ways to keep our students learning. Parents, thank you for your patience your flexibility and everything you're doing to support your children. I know this is not easy so I encourage you to find a few minutes for yourself each day and remember to take some deep breaths Students keep tuning into your Zoom meeting, completing and turning in all the work your teachers are assigning you and do a few extra chores around the house this week for your parents. there will be no virtual learning during spring break from April 6th to the 13th. We will be kicking off a virtual Spirit Week the day we return on April 14 Tuesday is going to be take a selfie with your pet if you don't have a pet find your favorite stuffed animal and take a selfie with your stuffed animal and Wednesday is going to be crazy sock day so I look forward to seeing all those crazy socks out there Thursday is going to be throwback Thursday you're going to send in your favorite picture from 2019 and Friday crazy hair day and for some of us that has been everyday since we started virtual learning continue to check your email each morning for the link to this daily announcements and have a marvelous Monday
